QPT was started in 1991 by David Kattan. In the field of testing and service of power systems, it was noticed that the quality of service and expertise on testing was missing on many job sites. Profit had become far more important than the quality of service.

Due to this, Quality Power Testing was started with one thing in mind, "To Provide The Best Possible Service and Customer Satisfaction". The Lead Field Engineer on all job assignments has over 25 years experience on low and high voltage industrial power systems.
