Service Intervals Preventative maintenance service intervals for Power Equipment is dependent on the type of load, service duty cycle, overload and severity of environment In general, Low and High Voltage Switchboard, Switchgear and MCC preventative maintenance should never exceed 5 years and a preferred service schedule is 3 years or sooner. For the Automatic Transfer Switch, Low Voltage Switch, Ground Fault Systems and Protective Relays, preventative maintenance should never exceed 3 years and a preferred service schedule is once a year or sooner.
